Family Finds New Home in Kingwood

When the Gundersons decided to move to Kingwood Texas, they weren''t immediately thrilled. They were happy in their community in Ohio; however, the poor job market was making it difficult to keep their service based business going.

When a family member experienced health issues, they decided to move to Kingwood to support their family in a time of need as well as for a change of scenery for themselves.

The moved turned out to be beneficial all the way around. The Gundersons felt welcomed in their new community and they have really enjoyed the beauty and convenient lifestyle that Kingwood offers. “We moved to help family, but we feel like we are the ones who have been blessed!” stated Peggy.

Kingwood Business Gets Boost from New Web Design

When business owner, Jeff Siegel opened his professional services business 20 years ago, "online marketing" wasn''t even a concept yet. However, according to reports, 80 percent of buyers in his market find their service provider through the internet

Siegel knew he was missing the boat on a lot of business by not having an effective web site. "I put up a basic site about 12 years ago. My nephew did it for me, so I suppose it wasn''t the top-of the line even then," Siegel pondered.

The past 5 years particularly, Siegel had seen a dramatic drop in the response rate to his Yellow pages ad without a corresponding increase in leads from his web site. He knew he needed to revamp the site.

Carla Alvarez, owner of Legacy Marketing Services, says that Siegel's dilemma is common. "We're seeing a lot of businesses redesign their web site. The internet, how people use it, and how sites are found has changed dramatically in the past decade," she explained. "Early adopters like Siegal may have had a web site that did the job when it was first developed, but now is as outdated and unfunctional as a horse drawn wagon.

Siegel saw an 80 percent increase in traffic and a 47 percent increase in web site leads in the first three months after the new site was launched. He couldn't be happier. "The website has paid for the redesign several times over already. I wish I would have done it years ago."
